Selina Hoare, CFA, MBA

Selina has over 20 years experience investing in and working with small companies and start ups in London, Paris and Spain. She spent 5 years as a portfolio investment manager with Invesco Perpetual in London, running a billion pound fund which invested in new IPOs, small listed companies and some angel investing. She then moved on to become a sales trader with Panmure Gordon in London where she helped companies IPO onto the main market and raise funds. Since leaving the city she has become a consultant to small businesses and start ups.
Her wealth of experience in investing, and the many business plans she has seen, helped write, and critiqued has given her insight into what makes a succesful company. She can draw on hundreds of examples of strategies and company structures that work well.
New companies often benefit from an experienced outsider's unemotional look at their business, and she can guide them towards a story and strategy that investors and clients will love.

2017-2023 - Stripe and Stare, a fashion company - ongoing consultancy for a company that has gone from zero to £8m turnover over 5 years. From the original business plan, to ongoing funding rounds, share structure, forecasting, and exit strategy.
2018 - Neuvieme - Collaborator on a property development company within Paris.
2018 - Mirabeau wines - Wrote a business plan for a wine maker in Provence, prepared forecasts going forward with the new plan to realise at least €5m funding for expansion and marketing budgets.
